Service for Peace Taiwan

Mission statement

Service for Peace understands service as an educational tool to bring about a transformation in the human heart, relationships and culture, thereby facilitating peace.              
We provide learning experiences and cultivate a culture of service by combining service with dialog and reflection.

Our service projects strive to bridge the gap between generations and transcend the boundaries between races, nationalities and religions thereby allowing a sense of community to emerge.
 

Our objectives
 

• to involve youth in service activities and provide them the opportunity for experiential learning and personal development
   
• to develop projects and educational programs designed to motivate volunteers to serve in their communities on a continual basis by helping them to maximize their service experience
   
• to increase awareness of the importance of service for personal growth and development of the society
   
• to organize workshops and seminars for young leaders in project development, volunteer management and improvement of social skills, ex. Relationships, Teamwork
   
• to promote international exchange and peacemaking among nations by fostering mutual understanding, cooperation and respect within in a worldwide family through global service activities
   
• to develop partnerships with other organizations with similar objectives
